We believe that Kindlestown Woods, currently managed by Coillte, the semi-state commercial forestry organisation, is an ideal location for woodland restoration. Read more on what we are proposing for the site here.

In early 2024 we sent a letter to Coillte contacts detailing our proposal and intentions to work collaboratively with Coillte and local voluntary and community groups to achieve our stated aims.

Restoring Kindlestown Woods is vital to reverse rapid biodiversity collapse but a wider vision is also needed to protect the local biosphere in the years ahead. Read about our longer term vision for the surrounding areas of Delgany and Greystones here.

Though we have not (yet) been able to progress this proposal with Coillte as envisaged we have widespread local support. There are several simple, short term initiatives we are planning to improve the condition of Kindlestown Woods so please get involved.
